From my earliest memories, I found joy in the art of baking alongside my mom and grandma, both gifted bakers who generously shared their knowledge and tips. Their patience and guidance shaped my culinary journey, laying the foundation for my lifelong love affair with baking.

As the years unfolded, I continued to explore the realm of baking, mastering the classics like cookies, cakes, and rustic loaves. My passion deepened when I stepped into the role of managing a local bakery in Calgary, surrounded by a team of talented women whose expertise enriched my understanding of the baking craft.

During my six years at the helm of that bakery, I honed my skills in the fundamental aspects of baking. I discovered the alchemy of whipping butter and sugar to perfection for sublime cookies, learned the art of gauging the ideal doneness of a chocolate cake for that enticing shine, and grasped the importance of using room-temperature ingredients for a flawless vanilla cake. Through it all, the mantra persisted – butter always elevates the outcome.

The camaraderie with my bakery colleagues left an indelible mark on my heart, and I am forever indebted to them for imparting invaluable lessons. My passion for baking blossomed during this time, and I carry their teachings with me into every kitchen endeavor.
