It’s True, Blondies Do Have More Fun!

    November 15, 2020 /

This recipe came along when I asked on Instagram stories what kind of recipes people wanted to see. My friend Nicole, who makes amazing bath bombs, asked for a blondie recipe. There were a lot of terrible blondie recipes that came out of this. Some were extremely dry that weren’t even worth eating, others that no matter how long I baked them came out raw in the middle and some were alright but not great. I couldn’t be happier with how this recipe turned out! They have great flavour, are not dry, and are not overly sweet which I was scared they would be with 3 cups of brown sugar…

No-Bake Granola Bars, The Perfect Treat for Summer.

    August 24, 2020 /

With the weather being still so hot here in Southern Alberta, 25 – 35 degrees C (77 – 95 degrees F), the last thing I want to do is turn on the oven. I have been looking for things that either don’t need to be baked or popsicle recipes. Honestly, you can only eat so many popsicles until you’re not feeling well. Like I said last week, I don’t want to complain about the heat because in four months it will be Christmas and I will be wishing for these hot temperatures. This is one of the healthiest recipes I have, and it’s not overly healthy, but tasty nonetheless. I…

Easy and Delicious Kitchen Sink Cookies.

    August 16, 2020 /

This weekend it has been hot here in Southern Alberta, and being fair-skinned I need to either wear a ton of sunscreen, stay in the shade, or in the house. I opted to stay in the house on Saturday and do something productive like clean out my pantry. I’m sure I”m not the only one that has 1/4 bags of peanuts, shredded coconut, raisins, and a hodgepodge of other items. I thought I would make these delicious Kitchen Sink Cookies to use up the leftover bags of items to help with the cleanup. This recipe is pretty forgiving, you can substitute any of the ingredients for whatever you have on…

    S’more Cake with Marshmallow Icing

    August 1, 2020 /

With the end of summer fast approaching, it’s time to get outside and enjoy the remaining bit of hot weather. It will be gone before we know and we will be complaining about snow and how cold it is. What better way to celebrate than with a S’more cake! This chocolate cake recipe is my all-time favourite! It is from Bouchon Bakery and it is the best chocolate cake you will ever eat! It is so good you can have it for breakfast! This chocolate cake is unbelievably moist due to the mayonnaise that is in it, trust me you can’t taste any of the mayo after it’s baked. This…

    Raspberry Chocolate Chip Loaf

    June 7, 2020 /

I was cleaning out my freezer the other day and came across some frozen raspberries and thought I should use them before they got freezer burnt or I forget about them again for another month, or longer. I wanted to try something different than the usual muffins or pie. I was looking online for a couple of days to find something to try and came across this Raspberry Chocolate Chip Loaf recipe and thought I would give it a try. I made a few minor changes to this recipe, I didn’t have yogurt and almond extract so I used sour cream and vanilla extract, but otherwise, I stayed pretty true…
