Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is the ultimate comfort snack! Nothing beats a great chocolate chip cookie to make everything better! This recipe is not too sweet but has just the right amount of chocolate chips for that chocolate fix you are in need of.

I hope that these recipes are bringing you some comfort right now when everything seems to be as chaotic and uncertain as they are for me.

I’m thinking of doing this recipe as an IG Live, for those who have a tough time with cookies, people who are just starting out baking, or the people that want to see how awkward I am on camera. If you are interested let me know, or if you would like to see another recipe let me know.

INGREDIENTS

3 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1 cup butter, room temperature

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

1 1/2 chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Mix together flour, baking soda, and salt and set aside.

Whip butter for one minute on high, then add both sugars. mix for another 5 minutes on med-high until it becomes a pale yellow.

Add the eggs in, one at a time, once they are mixed in completely, then add in the vanilla. Scrape down the sides and the bottom of the bowl. Beat until this is well combined, 2-3 more minutes.

Slowly add the flour mixture. Once that is combined add the chocolate chips.

Scoop the batter and bake for about 10 minutes. When I bake my cookies I move the racks to the top half of the oven so they bake slower, there’s nothing worse than a burnt cookie.
